A decade later, he moved to the United States to begin his studies in podiatric medicine, graduating from the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then continued his training at St. Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with Cornell University in New York, where he learned his craft from renowned vascular and orthopedic podiatric surgeons.
A polyglot fluent in French and English, he returned to Quebec in 1998 to begin his private surgical practice.
