A Unique Journey

Dr. Zyad Hobeychi, podiatrist, was born in Paris. At the age of 11, his family settled in Quebec. A decade later, he moved to the United States to begin his studies in podiatric medicine, graduating from the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then continued his training at St. Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with Cornell University in New York, where he learned his craft from renowned vascular and orthopedic podiatric surgeons.

A polyglot fluent in French and English, he returned to Quebec in 1998 to begin his private surgical practice. Committed to providing prompt care, innovative techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment to his patients, he was the first podiatrist in Quebec to perform surgeries in an operating room when he founded the Centre de Chirurgie Podiatrique de Terrebonne, one of the first private clinics dedicated to foot surgery in the country

Always at the forefront of treating foot pathologies, Dr. Hobeychi, podiatrist, has shared his passion for many years through an academic career. He contributed to launching the Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, where he was a professor of surgery and a clinical supervisor from 2006 to 2024 before retiring from academia. Passionate about education, he continues to train the next generation as a lecturer and supervises fourth-year students at his clinic as part of the course Stage de chirurgie en cabinet privé.
